Events South Australia is the events arm of the South Australian Tourism Commission.
Its charter is to promote South Australia as a tourism destination and attract visitors to South Australia through securing, managing, developing and sponsoring major events and festivals, as well as leading the events industry.
There is no doubt on the importance and significance of events to the South Australian economy, in particular to the regions. Events give people reason to visit and to stay longer in a region.
Here is an update of the events industry in South Australia.
Throughout the year there are over 50 events & festivals across the Fleurieu Peninsula
Events remain an important part to the local community where residents and visitors come together to celebrate with passion food, wine, music, dance arts, sports etc. With the engagement of the locals and an individual flare, each event is unique and provides the opportunity to highlight what is special about the region.
