Beer and Brewing
It's not just Fleurieu Peninsula wines that are cheeky, fruity and full-flavoured... the region's beers are making a name for themselves as well.
The Fleurieu Peninsula is home to a number of small-scale boutique brewers whose fine brews complement the region's impressive food just as much as its reds and whites do.
Hand-crafted styles such as lager, ginger beer, pale ale, IPA, dark ale, wheat beer, pilsner and stout are all in high demand.
When on the wine trail make sure you also drop into brewers located at Langhorne Creek at Meechi Brewing Company, Goodieson Brewery in McLaren Vale and Myponga’s Smiling Samoyed Brewery.
Alternatively, head to the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Visitor Information Centre which stocks an impressive range of local beers. When dining in the region be sure to keep an eye out for the local brew on the drinks menu.
