fashion of the fleurieu
Posted: 17 October 2018
Let’s face it, travelling ultimately leads the chic tourist to stylish shopping destinations – we’ll call it fate.
With the Adelaide Fashion Festival upon us (17-21 October), we decided to highlight some of our local Fleurieu haunts to inspire your inner fashion guru.
Living by Design in Victor Harbor and its cute coastal cousin Coast by Design in Port Elliot are both boutiques that have trend-setting fashion and oh-so-cute baby and children’s wear. Gah!
Coorong Clothing Company in Goolwa stocks contemporary threads and knitwear. You can also get your hands on the locally made Coorong Candle Co candles here as well.
In Strathalbyn, Toffish Home offers shoppers beautiful linen clothing and leather handbags, but did you know it also happens to be home to Australia’s only fine fragrance bubble bath?
I am Tall Poppy in Willunga are infamous for their eco-friendly products that are “kind to mother nature”. Stocking clothing, jewellery and luxurious homewares, this is a must-see when visiting Willunga.
New kid on the McLaren Vale block Gorgeous Soles stocks du jour leather footwear, accessories and women’s clothing. And if you or a loved one has a sock obsession you should see their amazing sock wall!!
The township of Port Noarlunga has a bit of a cult following, and the same applies for their fashion. The Sound of White has everything boho and oozes beach-chic. CharliRose specialises in evening wear, but also has a range of other cute fashion, including lacy summer dresses.
In 2016 the masters of the eclectic Adelaide fashion house Miss Glays Sym Choon opened a sister store in Aldinga - Miss Gladys on Sea. Owners Joff and Razak describe it as an intimate space, and shoppers are welcomed into the store as if they are family - how sweet!
If all of that isn’t enough to keep you going, the Fleurieu Peninsula has more markets than you can poke a Chanel pump at…
