Voted in Australia's Top 100 Golf Courses in 2022, this incredible course is located in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula, the Mount Compass Golf Course is an easy 50-minute drive from the Adelaide CBD and 20 minutes from Victor Harbor, Port Elliot, Middleton, and Goolwa

Mount Compass Golf Course offers players 18 challenging links-style holes designed by Neil Crafter of Golf Strategies together with a practice putting green and an expansive driving range.

With a total length of over 6100 metres, the par 72 course includes four par 3 holes, ten par 4 holes, and four par 5 holes over a gently undulating landscape that is peppered with gorse, 89 tight bunkers, and a few integrated water features.

The course takes advantage of the sandy soils that dominate the area, making effective use of the original topography of the site.

Victor Harbor Golf Club, Victor Harbor

The Victor Harbor Golf Club is one of the most scenic golf clubs in South Australia and is highly rated on the Fleurieu Peninsula with panoramic coastal and hinterland views. Talking of views, there are few better than you will find from the 1st tee of this course.

A par 72 and 18 hole, 5962-metre course, golf has been played on the current site for nearly 96 years and each golfer that has teed it up has been greeted by an uninterrupted view of Granite Island and Encounter Bay off in the distance beyond the 1st green below. The opening drive here is one of the most picturesque in Australian golf. 

McCracken Country Club, Victor Harbor

Only minutes from the centre of Victor Harbor, the McCracken Country Club is a great 18 hole, 6021-metre long course, with a par 72. Designed by renowned golf course architect Tony Cashmore, this is a fun but challenging course with five memorable par threes and is a fine driving course.

McCracken Country Club covers more dramatic terrain than its neighbour. The modern and spacious clubhouse and resort occupy the highest point of the layout.

South Lakes is an easy-walking links-style course with wide Santa Anna couch fairways and the bunkering found throughout the layout has simply been carved from the sandy soil below.

The relatively flat terrain of the South Lakes Golf Club makes the 5784-metre course a pleasant walk with a background of waves crashing on the beach. The 18 hole, par 70 course is not long but still provides a challenge to the low handicappers as accuracy is the priority.

A 90-minute drive from Adelaide CBD. The New Terry Wirrina Cove 18 hole championship course is situated amidst picturesque surroundings with scenic views of the Gulf of St Vincent and the Fleurieu Peninsula Hills which can be seen from any fairway.

The par 70, 5697-metre golf course offers a challenging layout with 75 bunkers, 6 ponds, and 2 creeks, making this course challenging and competitive for golfers of all abilities.

Yankalilla Golf Club, Yankalilla

The Yankalilla Golf Course comprises an 18 hole sand green layout, challenging the average golfer. Visitors can play during the week by paying at the honesty box at the clubhouse or are welcome to join competitions. 

This golf course is open to the public all year round; exceptions are pennant days and special events. Ladies' competition day is Tuesday, and men's on Saturday commencing at noon.

In summer there is a 9-hole twilight competition, held on Friday nights followed by a BBQ.

Willunga Golf Course, Willunga

Willunga Golf Course is considered one of South Australia's best public courses, with 200-year-old gum trees, meandering creeks, and views of the vines and rolling hills. The par 70, 5428-metre course consists of 18 challenging holes with its lush tree-lined fairways and expansive greens. 

Located just 40 minutes from the centre of Adelaide, the meticulously-maintained 18 hole public course is available to be played every day except Saturday mornings (competition time), and visitors of all ages and abilities are welcome.

The club also features a licensed bar and café, an extensive practice putting green plus another green to chip to, two practice nets, a driving range, and a fully-stocked pro shop. Clinics are available for those who want to learn, and golf carts and clubs are available to hire too.

The club also holds twilight rounds, charity days, family fun days, junior programs, school holiday programs, and Footgolf for the kids.

Willunga Golf Course, Willunga

Flagstaff Hill Golf Club, Flagstaff Hill

The Flagstaff Hill Golf Club is set in a picturesque area, studded with old towering gums. The golf course itself follows two natural creeks, meandering through the course to feed a man-made water storage facility known as Loch Hillan. This dam not only provides top-class water for maintenance of the course but forms an integral part of the course and frames what is the most picturesque par 3, 7th hole and par 4, 17th holes.

The course has developed into a testing yet beautiful par 72 and is fully established with 19 holes (1 spare to enable ongoing maintenance of other holes) of beautifully grassed fairways, tees and greens. Many attractive native shrubs and trees line the fairways, making it a most enjoyable place to play golf.
