Fleurieu Peninsula

The Victor Harbor Regional Gallery showcases the work of locally skilled artists who use variations of different mediums to paint, draw and sculpt. There are locally made gifts ranging from woodworks, felting, iron work, glass designs to card making.

This January, drop by and observe the art of local artist Althea Holmes.
Althea finds inspiration in the colours and shapes observed in the environment wherever she is. When painting, Althea likes the immediacy of Acrylics, sometimes including mixed media. Drawing has always been her passion, and she also enjoy pastels, drawing and print media.

Landscapes are predominantly Althea's subject, but seascapes and portraiture are also favourites. Her progression into a more abstract viewpoint is enabling a different perception of subject matter as well as a change in technique and tools.

Located in the old historic bakery building opposite the railway station, visitors can catch the local Steam Train also. The Gallery is run by a cooperative of local artists.
Card/cash/layby accepted for all purchases.
