Step aboard the historic PS Oscar W for a full-day river adventure combining steam-era heritage with regional flavour. Departing at 10:00am from the River Port Heritage Centre at Goolwa Wharf on the third Saturday of each month, this much-loved cruise sells out fast—and it's easy to see why.
Cruise the tranquil waters of the Lower Murray aboard the restored 1908 paddle steamer, feel the hum of the wood-fired boiler, and take in ever-changing river scenery. Hear live commentary from the skipper and enjoy the heartfelt hospitality of our volunteer crew, with complimentary self-serve tea and coffee available throughout the day.
Your journey takes you upstream to the riverside township of Clayton Bay—a hidden gem nestled between Goolwa and Lake Alexandrina. There, you'll disembark and enjoy a short, scenic coach ride to Finniss, where a sumptuous two-course lunch awaits at the renowned Finniss General Store, celebrated for its seasonal produce and relaxed country-style dining.
After lunch, you'll be returned to rejoin the PS Oscar W for a leisurely afternoon cruise home, arriving back at Goolwa Wharf approximately 3:30pm.
With history, scenery, comfort, and gourmet indulgence all wrapped into one, this is one of our most sought-after experiences. Bookings essential—tickets sell fast!
