Langhorne Creek Wine Region

Fleurieu Peninsula

ATDW pixel
The fertile flood plains of Langhorne Creek produce some of South Australia's most premium wine grapes. Cradled by the Bremer and Angas rivers and dotted with towering river redgums, Langhorne Creek's first grapes were planted in 1860 and since then the region has grown to be the second largest grape production area, supplying fruit for some of Australia's most premium wine labels as well as a handful of local wineries.

Langhorne Creek is an easy one hour drive from Adelaide, here you can escape to picturesque
vineyards and spend the day tasting sumptuous food, drinking premium wines and meeting the winemakers.

A visit to the district's award winning wineries will introduce you to the area's quality produce and to some of its local history - a look at the enormous red gum wine press is a must at Bleasdale Wines.
