Lyle Bartel Exhibition
Fleurieu Peninsula
Free
This February, drop by and observe the art of local artist Lyle Bartel at the Victor Harbour Regional Gallery. This Gallery showcases the work of locally skilled artists who use variations of different mediums to paint, draw and sculpt. There are locally made gifts ranging from woodworks, felting, iron work, glass designs to card making.
Over the years, Lyle has participated in numerous tutorials, workshops and short courses on landscapes, portraits and life drawing.
His favourite mediums are oils and pastels but he also enjoys pen and wash and sketching with charcoal. He is intrigued by portraits and subjects focusing on the human figure.
Located in the old historic bakery building opposite the railway station, visitors can catch the local Steam Train also. The Gallery is run by a cooperative of local artists.
