Brash Higgins produce minimal intervention, authentic wines, drawing on both avant garde and traditional techniques, organic farming, alternative grapes and use of clay amphoras.
Brash Higgins is the lovechild of American winemaker Brad Hickey and McLaren Vale vigneron Nicole Thorpe. The wines are gently crafted in tiny quantities, with an accent on finesse and texture and are available for relaxed tastings by the winemaker, Brad Hickey, aka Brash.
Brash takes you inside their winery for a deep dive: to see the organic Omensetter Vineyard, discuss the geology of the Vale, then waltz inside their inner sanctum to taste and learn about what they do in a fun, free flowing format. Certain times of the year guests are invited to taste from clay amphora's full of Nero d'Avola and Zibibbo wines. Tastings run 1.5 to 2 hours normally.
