4 Day Itinerary

Just 89 kilometres from Adelaide, Goolwa is Australia’s first Cittaslow town, where history, culture, and nature blend seamlessly. Once a bustling river port, it was the last stop on the Murray River before meeting the Southern Ocean. Today, it remains a vibrant regional centre, home to heritage streetscapes, a thriving food scene, and a gateway to the Coorong National Park and the lakes system at the river’s mouth.

At the heart of the town is the Goolwa Wharf Precinct, a lively mix of historic buildings, modern dining, and a bi-monthly market, where visitors can experience the town’s rich river heritage while enjoying local food, wine, and entertainment.
